Maritime, cultural, educational, and community organizations, why not bring the Vaka Taumako Project to your next event?
VTP’S Mimi George and H. Meph Wyeth are available to give presentations on traditional Taumako canoe-building, Polynesian wayfinding & navigation, sustainable sea transportation, the Story of Lata, life in the Solomon Islands, and other related subjects.
Several people who have attended their recent Polynesian Voyaging: Image and Reality presentations have proposed other venues, and the ladies are willing to travel. They are also willing to tailor presentations to an audience’s specific interests.
The Vaka Taumako Project is not particularly wealthy organization, so speakers may need financial help with travel and accommodation costs, especially for locations outside Hawai’i.
Individuals interested in hosting talks can contact Mimi by email or by phone (+ 1) 808 936 8462.
