On 2 August, Mimi and Meph flew to Vancouver BC for a week of working on navigation graphics with Mimi’s computer genius friend Daniel.
Despite having his dominant hand cast-bound as a consequence of a bicycle accident, Daniel produced an impressive number of sketches based on the diagrams Mimi has drawn up. When he recovers, he will convert them into digital format. Once this is done, we can use them to illustrate articles and books, produce instructional CDs and/or DVDs, and perhaps even a video game that could be used as a Taumako navigation tutorial.
Stay tuned for more information and to see some of the new graphics when they are finished. In the meantime, you can enjoy these photos of Mimi and Meph’s visit.
